In December of 2010 Thomas F. Rahlfs, M.D. was appointed Chair of the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine in the Division of Anesthesiology at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.

Homecoming will commence on October 7 with a pep rally and sure-to-please 6 man football game, Homecoming Court, Homecoming Cheerleader, and Mr. Coombes at the microphone at Coombes Field. Bill Fleischmann is sure to be here! (No bonfire due to drought)
CHILI COOK-OFF benefiting the Alumni Scholarship will be held October 21 in conjunction with the Middle School Football game and final home game of the Chargers at Coombes Field. Senior Night, Pink Out game, and Cheer Clinic performance. Come one and all!

Saw the Austin pics on Facebook. Wish I could have been there. Thought I would send an update, let everyone at Trinity know how I am doing. My wife gave birth to our second child, Catherine Nicole Gensert on 7 July 2011. I actually got to be there for the birth this time, it was amazing. Our first child, Margaret Ann, will be turning 2 in October. On 12 July 2011 I deployed to Iraq with the 1st Brigade of the 1st Cavalry Division. (more....)

Michael Arden '01, on Broadway!

Barbara Cook, Vanessa Williams, Michael Arden and Leslie Kritzer will topline the new musical Sondheim on Sondheim, to be presented at Roundabout Theatre Company’s Studio 54. The original tuner, conceived and directed by James Lapine and featuring music and lyrics by living legend Sondheim, begins previews March 12, 2010, with opening set for April 22. The limited engagement plays through June 13, 2010. Additional casting will be announced shortly.

Dr. Charles E. P. Simmons, husband of former Head of School, Peggy Simmons, passed from this life on August 5, 2009, in Midland.
Services will be Monday, August 10, at 2 pm at the Episcopal Church of the Holy Trinity, 1412 Illinois, Midland.

John Renaud, '05, Wins Awards/Competition

John Renaud graduated from Pratt Institute on May 18th, 2009 with honors and a BFA in Fashion Design. His 2009 thesis collection, Mörkret över Snön (or the Dark over the Snow), won him the 2009 Alfredo Cabrera Critic’s Choice Sportswear Award and will be shown to the public May 14th at the 2009 Pratt Fashion Show honoring American couturier Ralph Rucci.

Thomas Nagy was accepted into the PhD program in Religious Studies at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. He began his studies in May, 2008. Jenn Howell-Bird, ‘99 is also living in New Zealand, attending the University of Waitako, studying psycology with a minor in human development, and is a member of the Golden Key Honor Society.

The music department of Odessa College will be doing the opera, Puccini: Il Tritico, and Sister Angelica the last 2 weekends of February. at the Globe Theater in Odessa.
EDITORS NOTE: Jenness' stage presence and voice were worth the trip to the Globe. David Corman, OC's music department head, sees a bright future for her.
