Welcome

We welcome you to the Trinity School website, and we heartily invite you to come see the School in person.  If you have any trouble using the website, please do email us or give us a call:  432-697-3281.  We are happy to answer any question you may have.  We’re proud of our school, and we like to talk about it!  Chances are, you are a parent looking for the best educational opportunities you can get for your children and youth, or perhaps you are a motivated student looking for a great experience that will prepare you, not only for great college choices, but for life and the future.  Either way, we hope you’ll give Trinity School a serious look.  Any number of us here would love to show you the campus and answer questions about the program.

The first purpose of Trinity School of Midland is to be a healthy, wholesome, focused, ambitious, and dynamic community wherein children and youth are prepared for college and for life.  Such a preparation happens by way of a thoughtful, comprehensive program and a course of study that educates the whole person, not just parts of persons.  When we are at our best on any given day, Trinity School is far more than a school; we are an invigorating and demanding experience engaging many aspects of human nature – the spiritual, the intellectual, the physical, the moral, the emotional, and the aesthetic

In order to deliver such a “full-blooded” sort of education, a school must place great stress upon the quality of the common life.  The very best schools worry a lot about “ethos;” their leaders speak often of “the tone” of the place.  One’s parental and family experiences and extracurricular religious life are of course indispensable.  But one’s firm commitment to the common life of the school itself is also crucial to a complete education of the premier type.  In any case, the historic model upon which Trinity School is based is fundamentally communitarian—indeed, it is Trinitarian—and the most effective educators in history have understood that a strong and healthy community is the means by which countless blessings and benefits come to the conscientious individual.  It’s a mysterious process I cannot begin to articulate myself.  All I know is that, when youth of various backgrounds and abilities are members of such a fulsome scholastic community, like Trinity School, they do develop the skills, personal qualities, habits, and will-power—in other words, the character—that allows each to make good use of the challenges and tests preparing him or her for the rigors of college and the demands of personal and professional life.

Our mission is to provide a full-blooded education to anyone willing to do the work. Such an education develops persons who are strong and not weak – I mean leaders who can change the world for the better.  That’s what we are all about.  I hope you and I can meet soon and talk further about what Trinity School has to offer students from all over the region.  As our Mission Statement puts it:  We are a college preparatory community that provides a nurturing environment to enrich the mind, strengthen the body, and enliven the soul.
