The Middle School Student Council is off to an amazing start! Elections have wrapped up, our first meeting has been held, and we’ve already hosted our first social. This year’s council is an outstanding group of student leaders, ready to represent and serve our Middle School community.
During Club Day, members gathered to celebrate with Halloween cookies and participate in the annual costume contest. It was a fantastic kickoff to what promises to be an exciting year ahead!
But Student Council is about more than planning fun events; it’s about leadership and service. This diverse group of students is driven by a commitment to making our school a better place. As the year continues, council members will take on projects like keeping the Commons tidy and ensuring that all equipment is returned after breaks.
Our student leaders also play a key role in giving their peers a voice. As 8th-grade representative Gavin shared, “Student Council to me means taking risks and making sacrifices for others.” Fellow representative Lucas Rovira took this to heart by creating a Google Form to collect ideas for future Middle School socials.
We’re proud of this group’s initiative, creativity, and heart for service, and can’t wait to see what they accomplish this year!
