Lauren Blackketter '04

Lauren Blackketter was born and raised in Midland, Texas, and is a 2004 graduate of Trinity School.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in business from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. She currently works as the Office Manager for Beryl Oil and Gas, her family’s company here in Midland.Since moving back to Midland in 2012, Lauren has been active in the community. She has volunteered with the West Texas Geological Society and supports many local charitable organizations. Lauren has served on the board of the Midland Rape Crisis and Children’s Advocacy Center (MRCCAC) since June 2013, serving as Secretary in 2015 and 2016 and President in 2017 and 2018. In 2014, Lauren established Wine, Women and Shoes Midland as the MRCCAC’s signature fundraiser and has chaired the event every year. Wine, Women and Shoes has provided a consistent, ever increasing stream of revenue for the MRCCAC, has become the only large-scale fundraiser for the MRCCAC, and has dramatically increased community awareness for sexual assault and child abuse. Since its inception in 2014, Wine, Women and Shoes has grown from an event of 325 guests and approximately 10% of the MRCCAC’s gross revenue to 550 guests and almost 30% of gross revenue. In 2016, Lauren was named as a member of the Midland Reporter-Telegram’s inaugural “20 Under 40” class of young professionals in Midland, in part for her work with the MRCCAC. Lauren and her two brothers are Trinity lifers, and her mother Cathie Party served in the Development Office for many years. When it comes to the mission of Trinity School, her family is “All In.” While a student at Trinity, Lauren excelled academically and was a leader among her peers. She was a member of choir and MOAS as a high school student, participated in theater productions both onstage and behind the scenes, competed in TAPPS competitions, and participated in servant leadership projects including Christmas at the Breaking Bread Soup Kitchen. In 2004, Lauren led an effort with her classmates to plant a tree on campus to honor the memory their classmate Tangia Faizullah, who passed away when they were in first grade.Lauren has enjoyed giving back to the school since returning to Midland and actively participates in the Trinity Alumni Association. She has served as the Trinity Fund Alumni Chair, annually sponsors the Alumni Charger Classic Golf Tournament, and sits on the Advancement Committee as the Alumni Chair.

As a current parent, she co-chaired the tuition raffle, serves on the Trinity School Gala committee, and chaired school supplies for the current school year. Lauren and her family were also very instrumental in the renovation of the Blakemore Children’s Library. She and her husband David, also a Trinity alum, have a five-year-old daughter Reagan who is a current kindergarten student at Trinity.
