Artist Darden Smith Visits Trinity

Trinity School welcomed visiting artist, Darden Smith, on October 10 to speak with Upper and Middle School students on the process of song-writing. Speech and Debate coach John Klaussen says, ”I was interested in bringing him to Trinity to work with my forensics (speech and debate) students because cultivating one's creativity is key to any good speech or interpretive program.” Smith spoke to students about the power of intent, cultivating the artist inside, and doing what you love. He also wrote and recorded a song with the students to show how simple song-writing can be when you are aware of your surroundings and have intent.
