The Chargers played well on day one and faced tough opponents in the quarterfinals in boys and girls doubles and girls singles.

Raj Sukumar played his first round against the second seed from John Paul II,  but was defeated after a well-fought match (2-6, 4-6).

In girls singles, Ellery Baker won her first round against Sugarland (7-5, 6-3) but fell in the quarters to The Covenant in the 10-point tiebreaker (3rd set), 6-3, 2-6, 1-10, after a tough match.

Britton Butts and Sydney Sanz won their first round of doubles versus a team from San Marcos Academy (6-1, 6-1) and faced the first seeded team from Tyler All Saints in the quarters. The Tyler All Saints team won in two sets, 6-2, 6-2.

Senior Blake Carney and partner Nithin Reddy won the first round against Veritas Academy. In the quarters, they played a team from Tyler All Saints. The Tyler boys played a strong game, and the Chargers played well, fought hard and gave it their all, but fell short in a loss of 6-4, 6-3.

Coach Garos states: "We are truly grateful for the opportunity to play tennis this year. The fact that tennis season ended at State is icing on the cake. Of course, we hoped to play on day two as well, but the Chargers can be proud of their tennis game, how they represented their school, and of their accomplishments. We are looking forward to what next year will bring."
