  • Janet Stafford

Janet Stafford passed away on Thursday, May 30. Mrs. Stafford, also known as "Big Momma," served Trinity for 20 years. A passionate and gifted educator, she taught English, helped create Senior Seminar, and team taught with Pat Shaw in Fine Arts. She also served as the College Counselor and Head of Upper School. Alumni, past parents, and colleagues describe Mrs. Stafford as fierce, feisty, sassy, hilarious, sharp witted, and aware of everything going on her classroom. Mostly, she is remembered and admired for loving her students and helping them find something within themselves that they didn't know was there.
Funeral services will be held in Midland, and we will share more information as it becomes available.
