School Safety

The administration of Trinity School believes that communication is key, which is why they take all steps necessary to provide parents with information should there be a situation. Parents are asked to review School procedures when handling emergency situations.

At Home

If there is a medical emergency that will keep a parent from picking up a child, call or email the School Receptionist, Division Head or Head of School. Trinity School can help arrange for coverage until someone can retrieve their children.

At School

If a parent hears about an emergency from a source other than Trinity School, please do not come to the School. Wait for further instructions which will be sent via Connect 5, an emergency notification system, to  phone numbers and emails on record with the School.
  • In case of snow days: School Closure or School Delay notices will be published on the emergency bulletin on the Trinity website. Families will also receive an email, phone call, and text from the school’s notification system with further instructions.
  • In case of fire:  Students will be evacuated to the nearest safe area, and parents will receive an emergency email, phone call, and text on the School’s notification system with further instructions. Parents are asked to please not come to the School until asked to come.
  • In case of severe weather: Students will be taken to the most secure and safe area available and parents will receive an emergency email, phone call, and text on the school’s notification system with further instructions. Parents are asked to not come to the School until asked. In some cases, evacuation may make it impossible for parents to enter the School until the weather event is over.
  • In case of lockdown: Students will be held in their classrooms until the situation is cleared by local law enforcement. Lockdowns can occur for many different reasons that do not pose a direct risk to the Trinity School campus. Parents will be notified of a lockdown if there is a direct risk to Trinity School, and will receive an emergency email, phone call, and text on the school’s notification system with further instructions. Parents should not come to the School until asked to come.
  • In case of other events: Parents will be notified with an emergency email, phone call, and text on the School’s notification system with further instructions. Parents should not come to the School until asked.
