Lower School

Lower School at Trinity is an active, engaging environment where instructional decisions are intentionally made to support the growth of students and challenge each of them appropriately while fostering a love for learning. Students learn through a variety of modalities that build on each of their talents and strengths.

The hallmarks of the programs for children in Kindergarten through Grade Four are:

  • FOSS (Full Option Science System) supporting investigation and discovery to build science concepts and processes;
  • Spanish instruction to build competency with the Spanish language and curiosity about other cultures;
  • Art and music classes taught by specialists in the disciplines;
  • Daily physical education and recess time allowing for the development of the body and supporting the development of the intellect;
  • One-to-one access to Chromebooks in each classroom, leveraging technology to support instruction;
  • BIGG (Big Ideas for the Greater Good) fostering an understanding of servant leadership and a responsibility to give back to the community and the world at large;
