First Grade Spotlight

First grade is an exciting year at Trinity School, filled with tremendous academic, social and personal growth. Students are learning to read, solve math problems, and become more independent each day. Watching their confidence grow throughout the year is truly incredible.

First grade at Trinity is also filled with special and exciting experiences. We begin the year by celebrating Clifford’s birthday and continue throughout the year with fun learning activities. In October, we celebrate “Octobear,” when students bring their teddy bears to school and participate in special activities together. November brings our beloved Poetry, Prayers and Pies, where students learn poems and sweet prayers to share with their families (and enjoy some pie, too)!

In January, students become penguin experts as they explore all 17 species, from the tiny fairy penguin to the magnificent emperor penguin. We wrap up the year with our special Mother’s Day celebration in May.

There is no doubt first grade is magical, but the very best part is the students who walk through our doors each day.
