Looking back at your high school years, which academic subject or course had the most impact on you and why?

I enjoyed Physics. The class aligned with some of my favorite pastimes and I just overall found it the most interesting class I’ve taken.

Can you describe a moment when you felt particularly proud of yourself?

As the first 2 years of high school didn’t go so well, I was proud at the end of junior year when I had raised my grades by a significant enough amount that it was no longer too big of a concern for me in terms of getting into college.

Have you had any mentors or teachers who made a significant impact on you?

Dr. McHale has had the largest impact on me of any one of my teachers. She’s been a mentor to me, and helped me through my hardest times in high school.

What advice would you give to incoming freshmen based on your experiences?

Keep up with your work at all times. Procrastination is a sure way to dig yourself a hole that’s difficult to get out of.
