What extracurricular activities or clubs were you involved in, and how did they shape your high school experience?
I have played tennis all 4 years of high school and am the co-captain of the team this year! Being in a team sport has taught me leadership skills, the importance of camaraderie, how to be consistent and disciplined, and, most importantly, it has given me the best friendships I could ask for.
Can you describe a moment when you felt particularly proud of yourself?
This year, I am taking Advanced Topics in Chemistry and it has been by far the most difficult class I have taken. The curriculum is fairly complicated and there were certain circumstances that made the class harder than it needed to be. But, even though I struggled a lot to keep my grades up, I ended up making a 91 on the trimester final. In that moment, I finally knew that all the hard work I did paid off in the most rewarding way possible.
How do you think Trinity has prepared you for life after high school?
Trinity has prepared me for college and beyond in a multitude of ways. But the most important is the exposure to rigorous coursework. Having difficult classes in high school has put me at such an advantage for college because I know I will have a larger background knowledge in the classes I will take in the future.
What are your plans after you graduate?
I plan on going to college to study Ecology, hopefully becoming a conservation biologist.
