What extracurricular activities or clubs were you involved in, and how did they shape your high school experience?
I played tennis during high school, and I found it really fun. I enjoyed meeting other people who weren’t in my grade. Through tennis, I got to know some funny and great people and made great memories. It shaped my experience in high school, allowing me to branch out to different people and not be so reserved.
What advice would you give to incoming freshmen based on your experiences?
My advice for freshmen is to enjoy high school. Study and work hard, but don’t forget to have fun. Go to a football game and just mess around. Focus on making memories and good friendships.
Can you share a funny or unexpected moment that stands out in your mind?
In my sophomore year in geometry, I sat next to John, and he found a ruler with a phone number. He pulled out his phone, called the number during class, and heard Mrs. T's voice. He had no clue it was her number, but she figured out that he was in Mrs. Shipley’s room. She came to our class dressed up as a gladiator, ready to fight whoever called her.
What is one of your favorite memories from your time at Trinity?
One of my favorite memories at Trinity was also in Latin. We were taking a spelling test during class, and Mrs.T read the words for us to spell. Then, John yelled out the spelling of the word, which helped me get the spelling right.
What are your plans after you graduate?
I plan on going to Texas Tech and studying Animal Science. I want to become a Vet Tech and pursue my hobby of skiing.
