Jordan Klatt

What extracurricular activities or clubs were you involved in, and how did they shape your high school experience?
I played Baseball, Basketball, and Tennis in high school.  For clubs, I was in the  Teachers Helpers, Chess Club, Personal Performance Club, and Things That Fly club.  They all have taught me many different things; the Teachers Helpers taught me how not to get frustrated and to be okay with helping people in uncomfortable situations.  Chess was strategy, Personal Performance was to work hard when nobody was watching, and Things That Fly taught me how to fly drones.

Looking back at your high school years, which academic subject or course had the most impact on you and why?
I took Latin in middle school, and it was a subject I had no interest in, and I was pretty awful at it.  Taking that class for two years and trying to maintain a passing grade taught me how to work hard and do my best in a subject I had no interest in.

Have you had any mentors or teachers who made a significant impact on you?
Mr. Little and Coach LaFarelle have been the biggest influences on me.  They have absolutely let me shine in subjects where I have an interest.  Coach Laf has also been a big influence on me in sports, pushing me to work harder in Baseball and letting me grow into a leading role on the team.

What are your plans after you graduate?
I plan on going to Ole Miss and studying Finance, on the track to Sports Marketing.
