Students' Summer Adventures
Aloye Enakpene '27 was nominated and selected to attend the Washington Journalism Media Conference.
This exciting Conference is designed exclusively for highly engaged high school students and is held on the campus of George Mason University, just outside Washington.
"My favorite part was getting hands-on experience and learning from people who actually work in the media industry. My biggest takeaway was that every photo or video should have a purpose and make the viewer feel something, not just look good."
Abigail Smith joined the Sibley Nature Center Camera Club. She attended workshops and field trips to expand her knowledge of photography. The Club has an exhibit with two of her photographs showing at the Midland Shared Spaces through November 2026.
