Kindergarten students explored how different flower species have different sizes, shapes, and colors. They also learned about artist Georgia O’Keeffe, who was well known for painting flowers and showing their beauty through art.

"The children created their own flowers using paint sticks and their imagination. Each child’s flower was unique and beautiful on its own. We then talked about how we could bring all of our individual flowers together to create something even more special.

As a class, the children worked together to cut out and glue their flowers. When we put everyone’s flowers together, they created a beautiful “Magic Garden.” This activity helped the children see that although each person’s creation can be different, when we work together, our individual ideas can become something wonderful as a group."
