Kristen Faudree, '99, Leaves Legacy
Kristen Faudree left quite a challenge to all of us through her selfless support for children in Africa.

Kristen has left this side of heaven but her causes continue. She leaves us all with a challenge to support those children who do not even have a book to read. Let's keep Kristen's causes and love for the children alive.
Kristen Jane Faudree died just before Thanksgiving, November 22, 2008, and many are still in shock over her passing. Services were held in Midland at St. Ann's. She fought valiantly against the cancer that had started in her esophogus.
The following is a prayer shared by Garen Hover, '99:
We seem to give Kristen back to Thee, dear God, who gavest her to us. Yet, as Thou didst not lose her in giving, so we have not lost her by her return. Not as the world giveth, givest Thou, O Lover of souls! What Thou givest, Thou takest not away. For what is Thine is ours always, if we are thine. And life is eternal; and love is immortal; and death is only a horizon; and a horizon is nothing save the limit of our sight. Lift us up, strong Son of God, that we may see further; cleanse our eyes that we may see more clearly; draw us closer to Thyself, that we may know ourselves nearer to our beloved who are with Thee. And while Thy Son perpareth a place for us, prepare us for that happy place, that, where they are and and Thou art, we too may be; through the same Jesus Christ our Lord.
