Upper School

Trinity School provides a college-preparatory curriculum to all students. Upper School academic offerings include Honors and Advanced Placement courses.

Trinity Upper School Students:

Curriculum

Graduation Requirements

List of 10 items.

  • English: Four credits

  • Fine Arts: Two credits

  • History & Social Science: Four credits, including Government & Economics

  • Mathematics: Three credits in grades 9-12, including Algebra II

  • Science: Three credits, including Biology & Chemistry

  • Physical Education: Two credits

  • World Language: At least two credits earned in grades 9-12 in the same language, including Level III

  • Senior Chapel Talk

  • Community Service: 90 total hours spread out over grades 9-12

  • Notes

    The minimum requirement for graduation is 24 credits taken in grades 9-12 and a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0. Credits are earned by passing a course with a grade of D or better or by passing a course designated as Pass/Fail. Each season of sport participation receives one half physical education credit and each physical education trimester course receives one third credit.

Grades 9 - 12

The admission process for Upper School includes:
  • completion of the application form,
  • $75.00 application fee,
  • scheduled visit by the Upper School candidate,
  • standardized testing including the OLSAT,
  • transcripts from current school,
  • teacher evaluation forms.
 
After your application form and application fee are received, the Office of Admission will contact you to schedule your child’s visit and standardized testing. As part of the application process, a teacher evaluation will be sent to the student’s mathematics and language arts teachers. You will be provided a Release of Records form which should be given to the student’s current school.
