Senior Spotlight

Sofia Gil

What extracurricular activities or clubs were you involved in, and how did they shape your high school experience?
I’m am in volleyball, basketball, tennis, student council, and I’m also a prefect. Through this involvement in my school I’ve been able to meet and create connections with so many different people, especially in sports. I’ve learned important life skills like time management and communication through these extracurriculars and I’ve also made so many friendships along the way. I’m extremely thankful for the opportunities Trinity has given me to become involved in the school.

What advice would you give to incoming freshmen based on your experiences?
Take school seriously because your grades matter now but also remember to have fun and save time for your friends and family. High school goes by super fast so try to make the most of it by getting involved in a sport or a club that you enjoy and making time for your friends!

What is one of your favorite memories from your time at Trinity?
I have so many, but probably my favorite memory from Trinity was when I went on the school Europe trip. It was so fun and so different from anything I’ve ever done. There were 46 of us so it was a pretty big group and I thought we were going to have to stick together the whole time but we actually had a lot of freedom. We got to walk around Paris and Germany by ourselves and try new foods and explore the cities. I was a sophomore at the time, but I became really good friends with juniors and seniors on the trip and made so many fun memories. I definitely recommend going on one of these abroad school trips if you get the chance!

What are you looking forward to the most for your senior year?
Im looking forward to the 2025 school Europe trip to Greece and Italy the most. I can’t wait to make more memories with my friends on that trip! I'm also looking forward to homecoming, senior assassin, my upcoming sports seasons and my college acceptances!
