Senior Spotlight

Brooklyn Pearson

What extracurricular activities or clubs were you involved in, and how did they shape your high school experience?
Volleyball has been such a huge part of my high school experience. I have played on the varsity team for four years and served as team captain for the last two. I have also played club on a national level team and was able to travel to out-of-state tournaments and play against girls from all over the country. I have learned so much about myself while playing the sport I love. I’ve grown in my leadership abilities, learned to persevere through hard situations, and stay positive despite any outcome. The best part of all are the relationships I have formed and the amazing people I have met along the way.

What advice would you give to incoming freshmen based on your experiences?
My advice to incoming freshmen is to find a good balance between school and life outside of it. Work hard in school, go to T-block, and ask for help from teachers when needed, but also find a balance for extracurricular activities, fun time with friends and family, and hobbies. Four years in high school fly by, so take advantage of all of the times to have fun!

What are you looking forward to the most for your senior year?
I am most looking forward to spending time with my first grade buddies, and all the fun Senior Trinity traditions like ringing the college acceptance bell and Valentine’s Day. It has been so fun to watch other grades, and my older sister, get to do these things and I can not wait to participate in them myself!

What are your plans after you graduate?
After graduation, I plan to attend Baylor University and study Early Childhood Education. I have always known that I wanted to be a teacher, and I love working with kids. I hope to someday be a positive light to my students, like so many of my sweet teachers have been for me.
