Senior Spotlight

Anthony Mixer

What extracurricular activities or clubs were you involved in, and how did they shape your high school experience?
One extracurricular activity I felt especially involved in was theatre. While channeling other characters, I was able to explore different perspectives and emotions, which helped me discover more about myself. Theatre taught me confidence, teamwork, and creativity, and it became a space where I could express myself freely and connect with others who shared my passion. It truly shaped my high school experience by giving me a sense of belonging and purpose.

What aspects of Trinity's culture or community did you find most supportive or challenging?
When I first arrived at Trinity, the most challenging aspect was adapting to a new environment and making friends. However, the close-knit community became incredibly supportive once I got connected with my peers. The teachers were approachable and invested in student success, which helped me find my place and appreciate the collaborative culture over time.

What advice would you give to incoming freshmen based on your experiences?
As an incoming high school freshman, my advice is to stay open-minded and get involved. Join clubs, sports, or activities that interest you—it’s a great way to make friends and discover new passions. Stay organized, manage your time wisely, and don’t be afraid to ask for help when needed. High school is a time to grow, so embrace challenges, learn from mistakes, and enjoy the experience!

What are you looking forward to the most for your senior year?
I’m most looking forward to graduation because Trinity has taught me so much and prepared me to take on the world. It’s a celebration of all the growth, challenges, and memories that have shaped me into who I am today.
