Have you had any mentors or teachers who made a significant impact on you?
Mrs. Patterson and Mrs. Shipley have made significant impacts on me throughout high school. Whether it was explaining to me more than once why something worked the way it did, or just being supportive of something I did or was telling them about. Mrs. Patterson, specifically, I have known since kindergarten because I went to school with her kids, and ever since freshman year, when I put the dots together – that she was my teacher – she has helped me through school work and other things that weren't required of her. She always goes above and beyond for every student and shows she truly cares.
What advice would you give to incoming freshmen based on your experiences?
The advice I would give to incoming freshmen is do not bite off more than you can chew with rigor in classes. And most importantly when Mr. Jones says are you sure this is a good schedule, rethink it.
What are you looking forward to the most for your senior year?
I am looking forward to the Valentine’s Day tradition where we get to make custom shirts and ride around on scooters handing out Valentine's Day presents. That tradition is a favorite among graduating seniors and I can not wait for it.
What are your plans after you graduate? I am planning on either going into the military right after high school or doing a military-related thing in college (Core of Cadets or ROTC) and going in as an officer. Regardless of which one I choose, I plan to be in the military for at least four years, then choosing what I want to do with my life after.
