Senior Spotlight

Amelia Edwards

Looking back at your high school years, which academic subject or course had the most impact on you and why?
Sophomore year English had the biggest impact on me because Mrs. Patterson helped me understand the concepts of English and made them stick. She had a way of teaching that made the class fun, productive, and efficient.

Have you had any mentors or teachers who made a significant impact on you?
Mrs. Patterson has made the biggest impact on me. I have known her since eighth grade because I am best friends with her son. She is always there for me — whether it's something personal or with school. She has helped me manage my dyslexia and find new ways to work and understand material.

What tradition or event at Trinity will you miss the most?
I will miss going to Chapel every day. It is a great way to see my friends every day and have 30 minutes where I am not stressed over school.

What are you looking forward to the most for your senior year?
I am looking forward to Valentine's Day! I am excited to dress up and hand out valentines to everyone at school. I remember receiving valentines in first grade and always wanting to be the one to hand them out — now it’s finally my turn!

What are your plans after you graduate?
I plan to attend college in the Northeast and major in business.
