Looking back at your high school years, which academic subject or course had the most impact on you and why?
Junior year of English really impacted me. Mrs. Patterson taught me how to really read between the lines. I realized that media literacy is especially important in todays day and age. I don't think I would be as conscious of current events as I am now without Mrs. Patterson.
What extracurricular activities or clubs were you involved in, and how did they shape your high school experience?
I became involved with Midland Community Theater by joining Pickwicks. Joining this group really helped me to come out of my shell and realize the deep love and appreciation I have for Theater. I have met so many different types of people, and became close friends with many of them. Those people have taught me more about myself and the world around me than I could have learned in school or in a sport.
What are your plans after you graduate?
I have committed to Schreiner University and plan on Majoring in Music and teaching.
What are you looking forward to the most for your senior year?
I’m most looking forward to graduation. It will be nice to see how far all of my friends have come.
