Senior Spotlight

Marshall Morgan

What extracurricular activities or clubs were you involved in, and how did they shape your high school experience?
My freshman year I was in a Board Game club which was a little boring since I didn’t know anybody in that club and no one wanted to play monopoly with me. My sophomore year I was in a Wii Sports club which was a lot more fun since I knew some people there and made friends very quickly in that club. In my junior to senior year I got into the RP club which at first was going to be boring but since I knew people in that club I might as well join. I ended up liking it so much I stayed in that club 2 years in a row. I don’t think the games kept me interested in that club but the people I shared my club time with were the most important to me.

Can you describe a moment when you felt particularly proud of yourself?
I felt really proud of myself when I was playing Timon in the Lion King musical my 8th grade year. When I was on that stage I felt like the whole world was looking at me in anticipation of what I would do. I always love acting in roles that I can have fun with and improv funny jokes or do a funny dance.

What advice would you give to incoming freshmen based on your experiences?
Don’t joke around during class and more importantly ask for help when you need it.

How do you think Trinity has prepared you for life after high school?
Trinity has helped me think for myself and helped me make my own decisions. Whenever I am stuck on anything Trinity has encouraged me to make the calls on my own with only a little bit of help.
