Athletics Update

JV Volleyball played in the Wink JV Tournament last weekend. The girls went 3-2-1 with wins over Kermit and Fort Stockton, losses to Alpine & Denver City, and a tie in pool play to Kermit.

Great job ladies!

Tuesday night Volleyball opened the home schedule against Crane. The JV girls won matches against the Freshman team 2-0 and the JV 2-1. Varsity played well and fought hard but came up short 0-3.

Varsity continues play this weekend in San Angelo at the Nita Vannoy Tournament. Good Luck Lady Chargers!

Football opens the season next Friday the 26th hosting Holy Cross. Kick off is 7:30 p.m. at Coombes Field.

They are finally laying the rubber for the track resurfacing. Hopefully next week we will have pictures of a beautiful new track!

What I hope is the final hire in the athletic department this year, please welcome our new full time trainer and physical education teacher, Colleen Baer. Colleen will be joining us from UTPB. She is a great addition to our department and will be joining our staff full time on August 26th.
