    Dr. Lawrence Schovanec, President of Texas Tech University, will visit Trinity School on Wednesday, April 12, at 11:30 a.m. in the Beal Gym. During the visit, Dr. Schovanec will speak to students in Grades 7-12 about higher education opportunities at Texas Tech.

    Jewelry Workshop: Fabricated Sterling Silver Ring
    8:00 a.m. - 11:50 a.m.
    Gates Art Room
    Fee: $10 for silver
    We will be creating a sterling silver ring out of 10 gauge wire.
    All students will leave the workshop with their own designed and fabricated ring.
    By utilizing annealing and forming we will shape our rings into a blank. We will then use subtractive ling techniques to create our designs.

    Pastel Workshop: Color and Line
    12:45 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
    Gates Art Room
    We will be creating colorful illustrations using soft pastels on heavy art paper.
    The students will be taught blending and layering techniques as well as rudimentary color theory.
    The workshops are an excused school absence. Make advanced plans with your teachers.
    Seniors and older students have priority; all reservations must be made by Wednesday, April 19, 2017.
